Where is there enough leather to cover the surface of the earth? But just having leather on the soles of one’s feet is the same as covering the whole earth. In the same way, it is not possible to control all external events; but if I simply control my mind, what need is there to control other things?

|  | Kelsang Gyaltsen is the Resident Teacher for the Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Centre with its present and future branches in and around Johannesburg and Pretoria.
He teaches all three Study Programmes given by NKT-IKBU; the Teacher Training Programme, the Foundation Programme and The General Programme and is assisted by a number of Branch Teachers. He is also responsible for public courses with guided meditations, and is available to give information on these topics for school talks, at libraries and companies on request.
His main task is to guide people along the spiritual path, showing by his example and correct teachings on Kadam Dharma given by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, on all Buddha’s authentic Mahayana instructions. |
